The letter “i,” stylized as a human figure, symbolizes the people of Lantapan. It represents the Local Government Unit’s commitment to being people-centered, ensuring that all programs, projects, and activities are anchored on the welfare, empowerment, and betterment of every Lantapanon.
The heart element signifies the genuine spirit of service of the elected officials, public servants, and employees of the LGU. It reflects compassion, dedication, and sincerity in delivering public service to the community.
The thumbs-up is a timeless symbol of “I HEARTS LANTAPAN.” It also functions as an ambigram, forming both a thumbs-up gesture and the letter “L.” Its placement at the center of the logo mirrors the gesture of placing a hand on the chest, symbolizing pride, commitment, and heartfelt support for Lantapan.
The word LANTAPAN embodies the municipality’s rich heritage, cultural identity, and agricultural foundation.
- The first A, first N, and P symbolize agriculture.
- The letter T represents trees and environmental stewardship.
- The third A reflects the peak of Mt. Kitanglad, a defining natural landmark.
- The second A depicts the Panika, the traditional headdress of the Talaandig people.
- The final N incorporates the Talaandig tribal pattern, honoring indigenous culture and identity.
“Tungkay Madagway,” meaning “very beautiful” or “grabe ka kagwapa,” represents the beauty of the Lantapanon people and the natural beauty of the Municipality of Lantapan itself.
The vibrant color palette reflects the liveliness of Lantapan—its people, culture, traditions, and dynamic community life.
The black and red elements represent the primary colors of the Talaandig Tribe, paying tribute to the municipality’s indigenous roots and cultural heritage.
